Go Pats!

I can't help it, I just liked this photo...

This child ain't gettin' any love.

We went to the doctor for Luke's 1 month appointment today and he is a bruiser! He gained nearly 2 1/2 lbs since his 1 week appointment and is now 9 lbs 4 oz. Mommy is the winner of the Jim Dandy showdown by guessing he would be 9lbs 3 oz. Everyone else guessed low but mommy was sure her kid was going to be awesome. Actually his weight looks like it's all in his big round belly but I think he has gotten alot longer since his last appointment.

Poor Luke. I think we are not getting to hold him as much as we did Liam because Liam demands quite a bit of the attention himself. Luke is such an easy baby though and it doesn't seem to bother him. I try to give him some tummy time when his big brother is sleeping and he seems to like it and will be happy for up to 30 minutes at a time. He moves alot, scooting up his legs under him like he is about to crawl or arching is head and legs up. He even rolled over onto his back once, although I am pretty sure that was an accident. He hasn't done it since. When he is on his back he likes to stretch his arms and legs out at all angles...

Grandma's House

With both a blizzard coming on Monday and Daddy leaving for a business trip to Sweden, we decided the best plan would be to pack us all up and head to Grandma's house for a few days. She lives only 20 minutes away but with the lack of parking in the city, we would have been pretty much snowed in at home with no one to help with Luke's night feedings. We said goodbye to Daddy Sunday evening after a wonderful baby shower for our new friend Max (3 weeks older than Luke!) that was held at our little friend Ava's house (see video later in post) and headed to Grandma's.

While we were there Liam discovered the piano in the living room. It is miserably out of tune but that just did not matter. Liberace lives!!!!

A few piano lessons may be in order.

And speaking of Liam's friend Ava...she may be 7 months younger but when she came to visit recently she was pretty determined to get his drink from him. She's a cute little one with no fear whatsoever!

Gettin' Ready for the big Game

The countdown is on to the Patriot's first playoff game and Luke is already showing his support. See Liam's hand? He is about to knock Luke on the head and try to shove him away. That sweet look on his face is really just a cover. Thank goodness Luke is blissfully unaware.

Luke however was quietly warming up for the game in case he's needed to step in. He's obviously practicing throwing a touchdown pass to Randy Moss. Earlier, we heard him yelling Omaha! Omaha! from his new cool swing.
